Subject: E30/E28 Power Steering Filter

The filter is not changeable as in the 6 & 7 series cars. If your car is 10 years old, you should strongly consider replacing the reservoir bottle which houses a new filter as well as replacing the fluid (typically ATF). Replace the feed hoses as well. This will help avoid expensive problems with the steering pump and rack. SD
